As you may already know, from 25 May 2018 new data protection legislation is being introduced in the UK, which will give you greater control over how your personal information is used and protected.

‘With members of the congregation of S Alban’s Church, Great Ilford, and the wider community, we, as the Vicar and Parochial Church Council and the duly appointed officers of the said church, seek to stay in contact with you and manage our relationship with you.  With your consent, we may contact you to keep you informed about the work that S Alban’s Church is doing locally, including news, services, events, meetings, or other activities that you may be interested in participating in.  Details of these events etc might also sometimes appear on our website, in hard copy or in printed electronic form (including social media). The personal information you may consent to providing will be used only by the Parish Priest, the PCC Secretary and also in the context of events and activities to which you have assented your involvement, ie by completing a booking form or providing your contact information in respect of a church event or outing. Your personal information will be held either securely online, or if in hard copy, in a secure place.  We will not divulge any of your personal information without your prior consent unless we are required to do so by law, or to protect members of the public from serious harm.  You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us by the contact details given in this communication.’
