This week: no midweek masses this week as Fr Stuart is on leave.
PCC: today’s PCC meeting has been postponed until Sunday 11th March. We will then meet briefly to arrange dates for the APCM and for receiving and approving the annual accounts.
Lent Appeal: this Lent we are raising money for the Nando’s appeal for the relief of malaria.
Candlemass: the list for our annual fundraising for church requisites is at the back of church.
Volunteers Needed!!:we urgently need extra help on Saturday mornings to keep the Coffee Morning and cleaning schedule going. If you can spare 2 hours once a month to help us keep this important community resource alive, please speak to Ivy or Kathy or Fr Stuart.
Women’s Fellowship Group: meets next after Mass on Wednesday 31st January. All are welcome.
St Alban’s Singers: the next concert will be on Saturday 17th March 2018.
Confirmations 2018: Bishop Norman will be confirming candidates here on Sunday 6th May 2018. Adults and children over 8 are eligible. Please speak to Fr Stuart. Classes will start at the end of February on Saturday mornings at 10am.
Christmas 2017: we will soon be promoting our annual Grand Draw, which will take place after the Carol Concert on 17th December. Raffle prize donations are invited. We are also looking for contributions towards the festive decorations and celebrations. Please see Fr Stuart.
Nine Lessons and Carols: our annual Carol Service will be at 6pm on Sunday 17th December. Refreshments afterwards and the Grand Draw.
St Alban’s Singers: the inaugural concert given by the newly formed St Alban’s Singers will be at 7pm on Wednesday 20th December. Tickets are £5 (under 16’s free). Light refreshments included.
Advent Day Retreat: our neighbouring Parish of St Mary’s are organising an Advent Retreat Day at Pleshey Retreat House on Saturday 16th December from 10am-5pm. Cost is £12.50. No transport but lifts are available. Please see Fr Stuart if you are interested.
Holy Baptism: today we welcome Takara-Renee Irene Antoine into the family of the church through the waters of baptism. Please pray for her and for her parents and godparents.
All Souls: we will remember our beloved departed at 7.30pm on Thursday 2nd November. Please add the names of those to be prayed for on the list.
Quiz Night with ‘Fish and Chips’ Supper: Friday 3rd November at 6.30pm. Ticket are £10 per person. Please bring your own drinks. See Fr Stuart for an alternative meal if you cannot eat fish. Please sign up at the back of church.
International Dinner Evening: will take place on Saturday 25th November 6pm to 11pm. Adults £15, under 10s £10. This will be an evening for us to celebrate the Church family at S Albans with dinner and music. Please sign up on the list in church
